"Ancient Furies" is unabated, in-your-face Black Metal, ACHERONTE's first album, a concept album about death and a ruthless ancient monarch. 7 songs for 7 monarchs, 7 monarchs for 7 furies. Though raw and abrasive, the riffs are chunkier and the rhythm section more pummeling than the primal, basement recording style of some of their other Black Metal brethren.
They're fast, tight, catchy, mean as hell, and their Black Metal whirlwind is about as Metal as it gets.
ACHERONTE's new album "Ancient Furies" of Italian Black Metal is out on June 13th via Satanath Records!

A little about ACHERONTE:
Acheronte forms towards the end of january 2010 when guitarist Phobos, after several attempts to create a black metal band, brings with him bassist Moriargon (coming from such attempts), hires the expert Lars on drums and vocalist Baal, who despite his being a beginner proves himself to be a dvastating singer and to have a great stage presence. The line up starts working on his first release, called "Demo 2010", featuring three Mayhem influenced songs and a cover of "Freezing Moon", paying tribute to this legendary band. On September 2010 Acheronte starts having live gigs. Due to internal contrasts, on July 2011 Moriargon leaves the band. On August 2011 new bassist Bolthorn joins the band, but leaves after just three months for personal issues letting his place to A.T. La Morte. Meanwhile Acheronte carries on with live gigs and the release of new material, such as the EP "Genesis of Evil" (2012), released by SRBT ?ecords, which had good responses. In 2013 more releases are scheduled, s?ch as the split MC with italian black metal veterans Khephra. In the middle of 2014 Acheronte starts recording their debut full length album, with the collaboration of Paolo Girardi (Inquisition, Diocletian) for the artwork, and Manuele Marani (Blasphemophagher) for the mixing. On February 2015 Lars leaves for personal issues, and new skilled drummer Bestia (Metastasi) joins the band, bringing live shows to a new level of violence.
